What can I say, I just adore this place. A few friends and I have came in quite a few times and the food had been awesome. We normally like to do breakfast on Sundays and they’ve got that ‘ish down. I have also stopped by to try their half grilled cheese and cup of beef stew=bomb, but then again I love stew. I really love the idea that there’s a place in the area really dedicated to dog owners and not just happens to allow dogs begrudgingly. The location is ok, not great for Hillcrest because it’s farther down 5th ave than most people walk when going around the neighborhood. And parking is all street, which is hit or miss and definitely miss on busy nights. Nice addition to the neighborhood! This review is for the nightlife aspect of this place. I went in for drinks with a group of friends at like 10 p.m. The vast majority of bars in Hillcrest are primarily gay bars. It’s nice to have another option for an “everyone bar.” It’s just a few store fronts down from Nunu’s, so it creates synergy. They have a pool table, juke box and chess game. Just moved to the neighborhood and found this place my first night out. Must say, I LOVED this bar and have many plans to go back (actually went back the following day). The bar/restaurant area itself is comfortable with plenty of room to sit. The room is bright (during daylight) and the atmosphere is friendly. The bartenders were great.
